2. ACCOUNT OF A DECADE

In the years 2000-2010 there was a decade which people remember for many reasons.

There were good times and happy events such as music festivals the pop, soul, latin music...

But to there were also difficult times, for instance, the crisis.

In the world of music, there were a lot of artists, but I'd highlight Beyoncé she's the best for me.

It was the fashion of pants wide, typical of hip-hop and rap.

And there were "gothic" people , typical of the punks groups.

The inventions in this decade were, for example, the youtube, wikipedia and nintendo wii, etc.

By the end of the Decade, the most memorable discovering for me was the Ipod and Youtube.

On 31st October because it has to coincide with the last day of the year according to old Celtic and Saxon calendars.

2.-What does 'Halloween mean?
Holy or sacred: it is the day before all Saints' days.

3.-Hoy do people celebrated?
The houses are in the dark without lights and the people dress as devils or wishes.

4.-When is it celebrated?
The USA and Irland.

Halloween handiscrafts

Make different disguises for these lollipops to give out to your friends on Halloween and then decorate your house with some spooky jars!


The vampire lollipops: For the cape or the collar, cut out shapes like these in a foam sheet. Use pipe cleaners to hold the cape or the collar to the lollipop stick.

The spider lollipops: For the spider's legs, place the lollipop stick in the centre of a pipe cleaner and wrap the pipe cleaner around the stick. Repeat this 3 times. Then shape the spider's legs.

The ghost lollipops: The lollipop is hidden under the white tissue paper. The black pipe cleaner is used to form the neck of the ghost.

The first Rolls-Royce

The Rolls-Royce 10-HP was created in 1904. It had big, brass headlamps, wooden wheels and a horn that looked like a musical instrument. The car's top speed was 63 km/h and only seventeen were made. Today only four of these cars exist-their value is € 5.5 million!

Royal cars
In 1950, Rolls-Royce supplied the British royal family with their first car, Phantom IV. It was created specially for royalty and heads of sstate, and is one of the most distinctive cars in the world.

1.My last summer

Hello, my name's in Júlia and today I'm going to explain my last summer. First I'm talking about Banyoles, second about l'Escala and finally about to the cruise.

Ok, let's start!

First I stayed in Banyoles. In there, I went to the parties and meeting friends.

We went to the swimming pool, we went shopping in Girona, in the evenings we went to eat in restaurants too. 

It was fun!

Second I went to l'Escala with my parents and sometimes with my friends too. I swam in the sea, I jumped from the top of the very high rock to the sea.

And then, at nights we went to the restaurants and we played games. It was incredible.

And finally I went to the cruise with my parents. First we take the plane from Barcelona to Holland. In there we take the ship and we started the cruise. We went to the different capitals of important countries, for example: Berlín, Estocolm, Helsinki, St. Peatersburg, etc.

In the free time, we relaxed in the jacuzzi and we played table-tennis.

It was fantastic!!
